Terms of Service

Effective 1 September 2026 · Last updated 1 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of numberone.sg, including its public leaderboard, listing pages and checkout. By using the service, submitting a listing or paying for a placement, you agree to these terms, our Rules, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit a listing or make a payment.

1. Who operates the service

numberone.sg (the “Service”) is operated from Singapore. Questions, support requests, complaints and listing notices may be sent to hello@numberone.sg. If these terms conflict with the Rules, these terms control.

2. What you are buying

The Service is a paid digital advertising placement on a public leaderboard. Your payment creates a listing, or raises an existing listing, using the name, one-liner, link and public website metadata associated with it. Listings are advertisements—not editorial reviews, certifications or endorsements by numberone.sg.

Despite the playful language of “bidding” and “outbidding,” this is not an auction, lottery, contest or wager. There is no closing time, prize, payout or exclusive winner. Every successful payment buys the placement supported by that amount when payment is confirmed. Other people may later pay more and move your listing down the board.

3. Eligibility and authority

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
  • You must be authorized to use the payment method presented at checkout.
  • If you act for a business or another person, you confirm that you may bind them to these terms and publish the submitted listing on their behalf.
  • You may only submit a destination that you own or are authorized to represent.

4. Pricing, payment and ranking

  • Bids are stated in whole Singapore dollars, with the current minimum shown in the form.
  • Raising the same listing charges the difference between its existing total and the new total you choose.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; Stripe’s terms and privacy practices apply to payment processing.
  • Rank is assigned only after payment is confirmed. Another payment may complete while you are checking out, so the position shown before checkout is an estimate, not a reservation.
  • Founding Citizen numbers are an early-listing label, not ownership, a prize or a promise of permanent placement. A removed listing may lose its number, and the remaining numbers may be reordered to keep the roll continuous.

5. Payments are final

Payments are non-refundable once the paid listing or increase is applied. Being outbid, receiving fewer clicks than expected, losing a Founding Citizen number, downtime, or removal for breaking these terms does not create a refund. We will address duplicate charges or a payment that succeeds without the purchased placement being delivered. Nothing here excludes a right that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

6. Your listing

You confirm that:

  • Your listing and destination are accurate and comply with applicable law.
  • You are not impersonating another person, brand or business.
  • Your content does not infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity or other rights.
  • The destination is not fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, unsafe or designed to conceal its true purpose.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, cache, resize, format and publicly display the listing and its public metadata for operating, promoting, moderating and maintaining the Service and its history.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not use the Service for illegal content; scams, phishing or malware; explicit or adult content; hate, harassment, threats or exploitation; counterfeit or infringing goods; unlicensed regulated services; deceptive redirects; click manipulation; attempts to evade rate limits or moderation; or interference with the Service or other users.

8. Moderation and removal

We may refuse, edit, hide, block or remove a listing where we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the Rules, creates legal or security risk, misrepresents its destination, infringes another person’s rights or harms the Service. We may act without advance notice. Removal for these reasons is not refundable. To report a listing or request a correction, email hello@numberone.sg.

9. No guaranteed results

We do not guarantee traffic, clicks, customers, sales, search ranking, uptime, a fixed leaderboard position or any other outcome. Click counts and public metadata may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. External destinations are controlled by their owners, and we are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

10. Availability and changes

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may maintain, pause, change or discontinue features, prices, ranking mechanics or the Service. If we materially change these terms, we will update the date above. The version accepted at checkout applies to that purchase unless a later change is required by law or needed to address legal or security risk.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, business, data, goodwill or reputation. Our total liability relating to a listing or payment will not exceed the amount you paid for that listing during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your listing, destination, breach of these terms, misuse of the Service, or infringement of another person’s rights.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose personal data, including information processed by Stripe, Upstash, Vercel, Cloudflare and Resend.

14. Governing law and general terms

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Singapore have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These terms, the Rules, the Privacy Policy and the checkout details form the agreement between you and us for the Service.
